Christensen Irrigation (Singapore) Pte Ltd (collectively, “Cisgenics,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” as applicable) is a cutting-edge irrigation firm that delivers high-quality, technology-driven irrigation systems to owners and operators of golf courses, agribusinesses and landscape properties globally. Our irrigation systems are optimised for water and energy conservation, making them a compelling proposition for all developers and green asset owners who wish to succeed in their own green and sustainable agenda. Cisgenics, the new brand name for Christensen Irrigation, carries forward a proud 30-year history of delivering quality irrigation to premier projects across Asia and beyond. This rebrand reflects the company’s shift to being a more sustainable-centric irrigation solutions provider. This shift marks the launch of its IoT-driven irrigation solutions engineered to help clients better achieve their water and energy conservation targets. Owners of green facilities will be able to rest easy in knowing they have the best sustainable irrigation systems that optimises the health, well-being and lifespan of their green assets.

We understand that you are aware of and care about your own personal privacy interests, and we take that seriously. This Privacy Notice describes the Cisgenics’s policies and practices regarding its collection and use of your personal data, and sets forth your privacy rights. We recognize that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility, and so we will from time to time update this Privacy Notice as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies.

How we collect and use (process) your personal information

Cisgenics collects personal information about its services users and customers. With a few exceptions, this information is generally limited to:

Use of the Cisgenics ‘s application or services

As is true of most other web applications, Cisgenics’s application collects certain information automatically and stores it in log files. The information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, the region or general location where your computer or device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system and other usage information about the use of Cisgenics’s application, including a history of the pages you view. We use this information to help us design our site to better suit our users’ needs. We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our application, analyze trends, track visitor movements, and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences.

Cisgenics has a legitimate interest in understanding how members, customers and potential customers use its website. This assists Cisgenics with providing more relevant products and services, with communicating value to our sponsors and corporate members, and with providing appropriate staffing to meet member and customer needs.

Use of Cookies and tracking technologies

When you interact with the Websites and/or our Cisgenics Platforms, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, “cookie” information, and the page you requested. 

Cookies and other tracking technologies (such as pixels and beacons) are comprised of small bits of data that often include a de-identified or anonymous unique identifier. Websites, apps and other services send this data to your browser when you first request a web page and then store the data on your computer so the website can access information when you make subsequent requests for pages from that service. We may use these technologies to collect and store information about your usage of the Websites or Cisgencis’s Platforms (such as the pages you have visited, content you have viewed, search queries you have run, and advertisements you have seen), which information is then used to understand your preferences so as to enable us to provide you with improved services in future visits, and to compile aggregate data about website traffic and interactions so that we can offer better experiences and tools in the future.

We utilize email tracking systems that provide us with data such as who opened or forwarded an email, the time it was opened, and whether the reader clicked certain links within the email. 

Sharing information with third parties

The personal information Cisgenics collects from you is stored in one or more databases hosted by AWS (Amazon Web Services) located in the Singapore. These third parties do not use or have access to your personal information for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval. On occasion, Cisgenics engages third parties to send information to you, including information about our products, services, and events.

We do not otherwise reveal your personal data to non-Cisgenics persons or businesses for their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) it’s in connection with Cisgenics-hosted and Cisgenics co-sponsored conferences as described above; (3) the information is provided to comply with the law (for example, compelled by law enforcement to comply with a search warrant, subpoena, or court order), enforce an agreement we have with you, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights, property or safety of our employees or others; (4) the information is provided to our agents, vendors or service providers who perform functions on our behalf; (5) to address emergencies or acts of God; or (6) to address disputes, claims, or to persons demonstrating legal authority to act on your behalf. We may also gather aggregated data about our services and website visitors and disclose the results of such aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information to our partners, service providers, advertisers, and/or other third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Transferring personal data to Singapore

Cisgenics has its headquarters in Singapore. Information we collect about you will be processed in Singapore. By using Cisgenics’s application and services, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed in Singapore. Cisgenics is providing for appropriate safeguards by entering binding, standard data protection clauses, enforceable by data subjects in Singapore.

Depending on the circumstance, Cisgenics also collects and transfers to the Singapore personal data with consent; to perform a contract with you; or to fulfill a compelling legitimate interest of Cisgenics in a manner that does not outweigh your rights and freedoms. Cisgenics endeavors to apply suitable safeguards to protect the privacy and security of your personal data and to use it only consistent with your relationship with Cisgenics and the practices described in this Privacy Statement. Cisgenics also enters into data processing agreements and model clauses with its vendors whenever feasible and appropriate. Since it was founded, Cisgenics has received zero government requests for information.

How We Secure Your Information

Cisgencis is committed to ensuring that your information is secure.  We use commercially reasonable efforts to protect your personal information collected, used, stored, shared, or transferred as part of our Services from access, loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction by any unauthorized party.  Please understand, however, that no transmission of data over the internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  We do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information or private communications will always remain private.  You are also responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorized disclosure or misuse such as by maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information.  

This Privacy Notice is intended to provide you with information about what personal data Cisgenics collects about you and how it is used.

If you wish to confirm that Cisgenics is processing your personal data, or to have access to the personal data Cisgenics may have about you, please contact us.

You may also request information about: the purpose of the processing; the categories of personal data concerned; who else outside Cisgenics might have received the data from Cisgenics; what the source of the information was (if you didn’t provide it directly to Cisgenics); and how long it will be stored. You have a right to correct (rectify) the record of your personal data maintained by Cisgenics if it is inaccurate. You may request that Cisgenics erase that data or cease processing it, subject to certain exceptions. You may also request that Cisgenics cease using your data for direct marketing purposes. In many countries, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how Cisgenics processes your personal data. When technically feasible, Cisgenics will—at your request—provide your personal data to you.

Reasonable access to your personal data will be provided at no cost. If access cannot be provided within a reasonable time frame, Cisgenics will provide you with a date when the information will be provided. If for some reason access is denied, Cisgenics will provide an explanation as to why access has been denied.

Data storage and retention

Your personal data is stored by the Cisgenics on AWS servers in Singapore. The Cisgenics retains service data for the duration of the customer’s business relationship with the Cisgenics and for a period of time thereafter, to analyze the data for Cisgenics’s own operations, and for historical and archiving purposes associated with Cisgenics’s services. Cisgenics retains prospect data until such time as it no longer has business value and is purged from Cisgenics systems. All personal data that Cisgenics controls may be deleted upon verified request from Data Subjects or their authorized agents. Children’s Privacy 

Cisgencis does not market any products to minors and respects the privacy of children). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your minor child has provided us with personally identifiable information, please contact us.  If we become aware that we have collected personally identifiable information from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Changes to This Privacy Policy 

We may make changes to our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy to Websites and Cisgenics’s Platforms and updating the “Effective Date” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. Your continued use of Websites and Cisgenics’s Platforms following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
