Kooindah Golf Course

Kooindah Waters Golf Club, located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, is an 18-hole championship course designed by Ross Watson and Craig Parry. Opened in 2006, the course is known for its challenging layout, featuring natural wetlands and strategically placed water hazards. The club faced significant irrigation challenges despite its picturesque setting due to Australia’s variable climate and water scarcity issues.

Kooindah Waters Golf Club approached Cisgenics with several critical issues, including higher water consumption during dry periods, inefficient water use during wet seasons, and inconsistent course conditions due to varied topography and soil types.

Cisgenics developed a customised irrigation control system for Kooindah Waters, addressing its specific Australian climate challenges and environmental requirements. Implementing Cisgenics’ irrigation control solution at Kooindah Waters Golf Club demonstrates the effectiveness of smart irrigation technology in addressing the unique challenges Australian golf courses face. The course conditions improved by significantly reducing water consumption and enhancing operational efficiency.
