Unique coastal and

subtropical challenges
Hong Kong

Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club

Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, established in 1982, is a prestigious 18-hole championship course located on the eastern peninsula of Hong Kong’s New Territories. Known for its stunning ocean views and challenging layout, the course has hosted numerous professional tournaments. However, its unique coastal location and Hong Kong’s variable climate presented significant irrigation challenges.

Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club approached Cisgenics with several critical issues, including inconsistent water distribution due to the course’s varied topography and coastal winds, high water consumption, especially during Hong Kong’s hot and humid summers, and saltwater intrusion affecting turf quality on holes close to the coastline.

The implementation of Cisgenics’ irrigation control solution at Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club showcases the adaptability and effectiveness of smart irrigation technology in challenging coastal and subtropical environments.
