Bay East Gardens

Bay East Gardens at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

The Challenge
Bay East Gardens, part of Singapore’s iconic Gardens by the Bay, showcases one of the world’s most advanced sensor-driven irrigation projects. Spanning 32 hectares along Marina Reservoir, this waterfront garden offers stunning city skyline views and embodies Singapore’s vision of a green urban environment.

The Solution
Cisgenics is implementing the CisgenX Irrigation Control System to address the challenge of maintaining lush landscapes while optimising water usage. The system, purely controlled by environmental factors like evapotranspiration and soil moisture, features an advanced sensor network, IoT-driven decision-making, and remote monitoring capabilities.

Results
This smart irrigation solution has reduced water consumption compared to traditional methods, enhanced plant health, and improved operational efficiency. The garden’s expansive lawns, water features, and picturesque paths create a tranquil oasis amidst the urban landscape, attracting both locals and tourists.

Bay East Gardens’ success demonstrates how advanced technology can create sustainable, low-maintenance green spaces in urban settings, potentially revolutionising global city planning and landscape management. This project enhances Singapore’s green urban landscape and sets a new benchmark for smart, sustainable garden management, promising a greener future for cities worldwide.
