Innovative irrigation system where

nature meets technology
Singapore

Jewel Changi Airport, Singapore

Challenge

Jewel Changi Airport, a groundbreaking mixed-use development, seamlessly blends nature with engineering marvels, creating a unique environment that demands an equally innovative irrigation solution. The challenge lay in efficiently managing water resources across this large, complex facility while maintaining diverse landscape areas that span indoor and outdoor spaces, multi-story structures, and elevated planters. The irrigation system needed to deliver consistent water distribution across varying elevations and distances, all while integrating seamlessly with the building’s existing infrastructure.

Solution

Cisgenics implemented an advanced irrigation central control system at Jewel Changi Airport, enabling seamless programming, monitoring, and operation from a central location. This system allows water managers to control single or multiple sites via a computer, automating satellite controllers or two-wire decoders that operate irrigation valves.

The integrated sensor system (ISS) enhances capabilities by analysing, monitoring, and controlling the ISS wireless network. It displays soil data from sensors and offers water budget recommendations based on soil moisture. The system graphs data and sends email alerts when conditions require attention, interfacing seamlessly with the central control.

The Forest Valley Mist Trail Pump System system provides a misting effect for the QC and QD Forest Valley Trails, enhancing the landscape’s aesthetic and environmental quality.
